Element: Determine job requirements
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
  • Explain legislative requirements that apply to pre-packed articles to the trader
       
Element: Inspect pre-packed articles for compliance with marking requirements
  • Identify approved markings as they apply to all pre-packed articles intended for sale
  • Examine pre-packed articles for the marking of quantity statements and unit pricing in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Examine pre-packed articles for the marking of packer identification
  • Document results of examination for further action

  • Select articles for check measuring in accordance with marketplace intelligence, legislative requirements and organisational procedures
  • Assess product handling and disposal requirements and comply with WHS requirements, environmental considerations and public sector auditor's requirements

Assessment Tasks

Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts.
